Was this a mortal sin?

I was thinking “God is love, God is truth”, and then I started to think “God is justice” even though I was pretty sure that He wasn’t. (I’m know that He is just, I just didn’t think He is justice). Was this a blasphousmous thought, and a mortal sin? Do I need to go to confession before I receive communion again because of it? Please respond ASAP, because I am going to mass in less than an hour.

And I’m sure the intent behind the thought was good, even if it was phrased in a way that some might find theologically inaccurate. Blasphemy is speaking against God, not confusing a noun with an adjective!
 
I can barely imagine how this could be a sin at all. You were just trying to honour God by understanding who He is.
 
3 rules to mortal sin.
  1. It has to be serious
  2. You have to know it’s serious
  3. You have given it sufficient reflection and did it without being forced.
 
I don’t even think you were incorrect to see God as justice, really. I would point out, however, that humanity tends to project its own concept of justice onto God. Marxist Liberation Theology is an excellent example of what happens when we assume that our ideas about justice are God’s.
