I have seen many posts with this question regarding different situations. I myself have the same concern.
I would recommend that if you have that concern, you read The Catechism of the Catholic Church Part Three: Article 8: Sin.
It explains in great detail how the same action can constitute a mortal sin in one person but a venial sin in another…
I guess if we have a concern, in the first place, is becouse we can sence something is already wrong. But, this helps to determine the gravity of the situation. It helped me a lot.
