I have been told that in the Catacombs there is a tomb with the name “Venerand” on it. There are later writtings ( in the Catacombs) in which the writer is praying to Venerand as if she was St. Peter’s daughter.

Does anyone know of a Vererand buried in the Catacombs, and was said to be St. Peter’s daughter. The man who said this is an Irish Priest/Scientist who appeared on EWTN.

I have never heard this. Google has no hits with the spelling you provided (and if it ain’t on Google, it don’t exist). And Google offers no alternate spellings (search.msn.com offers “veterans,” though I’m sure that’s not what I was looking for here).

Of course, St. Peter *could *have had a daughter. He *was *married, after all (the Gospels speak of his mother-in-law). He probably had children, but I’ve never heard of any specific names. I have no reason to doubt the story, though I’ve never heard of it in my various studies of early Church history.
