Often the donor families take the statues back because they do not want to see them destroyed. Apparently the dad. Gerald Michaud who donated the statues is not longer living so the kids took the statues back.
In place of the statues, the university installed the same blue benches located at other spots around campus. Most of the university’s other statues are modern art, with the exception of a relatively recent statue of Ichabod Washburn that the university commissioned,” the Journal reports.

This overreaction by leftists, plus the violence in certain towns, is going to ensure the re-election of Donald Trump. The Dems are shooting themselves in the foot by their catering to the extremists in their own party.
