It’s not him. It is Christ in Him. Pope Francis is just a man, priest and head of the 1.2 Billion Catholics, doing Jesus’ work and we have to emulate Christ everyday. Just like Pope Francis is doing, through ,**with **and in Christ. Each of us has a talent given by God and we must do our best with what we’re given, every time, all the time, with the Jesus as our Rock.Thank you Pope Francis, may we all embrace Humanity in the same way daily in our lives
Regards Tony
No I don’t “know what you mean”, and it’s not a contest.I like pope Benedict more. I believe pope Francis is trying too hard, if you know what i mean.
And i believe this is about clergy, pope should wash the feet of bishops or priests. Lord Jesus Christ washed the feet of believers, his followers, not non-believers.
I like this Pope. He’s the kind of guy I’d like to have over at my place to have some chicken wings, pizza and watch a hockey game. Of course, the wings would have to be halal, but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.![]()
But he was a follower, he did fail, like many followers failed after Judas. No I don’t “know what you mean”, and it’s not a contest.
Judas was also present when Jesus washed the Disciples feet.
No, he was one of the 12. He was the treasurer. You don’t trust your money to just a ‘follower’. He came from a very religious part of Israel and was probably one of the most trusted of the Apostles. When he went to betray Christ, his feet were clean from His washing. He threw that back in the face of Christ. But he was a follower, he did fail, like many followers failed after Judas.
The feet-washing is service. It is reserved for clergy. Just like non-Christians cant serve Liturgy, they cant take part in this feet-washing service. Before Christ healed or helped anyone, he asked them if they had faith, he washed the feet to the Apostles, not to pagans and others. No, he was one of the 12. He was the treasurer. What do you suppose that teaches us? That the mercy of Christ reaches beyond our prejudices. Mercy is what we are all about. I am PROUD that we have a Pope who challenges our prejudices and shows mercy to those EVEN IF THEY REJECT IT.
That is real Christianity.
The Church you belong to disagrees.Muslims deny the Holy Trinity and divinity of Lord Jesus Christ, we don’t worship same God.
And who are you to correct the Pope? The feet-washing is service. It is reserved for clergy. Just like non-Christians cant serve Liturgy, they cant take part in this feet-washing service. Before Christ healed or helped anyone, he asked them if they had faith, he washed the feet to the Apostles, not to pagans and others.
No it doesn’t.The Church you belong to disagrees.
It is obvious why the World Loves this Pope. The Pope Loves God and His ways and not the Thoughts of men.The ability of their worship has nothing to do with the fact that they deny the true God.
That was a quick transition from Catholic to Orthodox. Did you convert between posts? No it doesn’t.
