Washing Female's Feet on Holy Thursday?

I was asked by a lay person on Holy Thursday (in the morning) if I’d be willing to have my feet washed. I replied, “Isn’t it just men?” The answer was that the pastor wants to be diverse and invite all kinds. I politely declined.

I thought the moratorium was lifted, but it wasn’t. I retract my statement about the issue.

But you’ve made a wonderful point anyway. I wanted to make one too but I’ll wait for the moratorium to be lifted before making that point.
