A Washington state bill that would recognize same-sex “marriage” poses a “grave challenge” to the common good, Archbishop of Seattle J. Peter Sartain warned.

Thank God for Bishops like Archbishop Sartain! He is a brave man. He is speaking out for the truth and betterment of society, for whatever it’s worth. It seems to me that they ignore people of faith that speak the truth though. Especially if they happen to represent the Catholic Church. I noticed in the article the Representative sponsoring the bill is a “Catholic”. Excuse me but these people are no more Catholic than Bill Maher.

The legislation, S.B. 6239, may require religious organization to provide accommodations, facilities, and services for the solemnization or celebration of same-sex “marriages,” if the organizations offer marriage services to the public for a fee.
The provision could have a financial impact upon churches which rent out facilities for marriages but have religious and moral objections to same-sex unions.
Seems to me that they’re going to force the segregation of society. Even if you wanted to be charitable and offer your services to all, they say you can only do it for those of your same group, religion.

I believe the whole purpose of this bill and others that are in play is to wipe out religious liberty. We are beginning to see what I was so terrified of when Barack Obama was elected. For the life of me, I cannot understand why Catholics helped to put this man in office. All you had to do was a little bit of minimal investigation. It wasn’t rocket science. If your complete news source was CNN or MSNBC I guess I get it, but even people that listen to or read conservative sources should have done some minimal investigating on their own. His voting record alone was absolutely appalling.
