My favorite sport is figure skating, and it’s mainly shown (sadly on cable) and when then a week later. It would be like telling football fans, that they could watch the Patriot/Colts game a week after it happened. It sucks, and then they complain about their ratings.

Normally, sometimes you can watch live feeds in Chinese, Russian etc. Or you can watch your favorite skater’s performance on you tube.

I do this, am I wrong… Please don’t get me wrong, when the USFSA made part of Skate America available on a website, I watched it there, so I’m trying to meet them more than half way. But in the other cases?

Now, apparently they are cracking down on the youtube videos at least for Skate America, which is okay for me, because I can watch it on the website. But it stinks for folks in Canada, who can’t see the programs at all do to the ISU rights not being sold in Canada.

It stinks for fans of the sport because we do want to support the sport financially, but if they don’t let fans see their product, their sport will die.
