Of course, I am happy the Steelers won! :bounce: :yyeess:
Hi seeker–I agree. Last night was not their best I don’t think–they just didn’t look organized…they really need to play better to win the superbowl.
I don’t know I’d say either team didn’t play their best – I think they both played tough (as reflected in the injuries), which I hope they can recover from before Tampa. I hope Ward gets back to 100%, and of course I hope McGahee is soon recovered enough to enjoy his off-season.

While I still look forward to their 6th ring, I don’t expect the game will be easy. I don’t think the cards had as difficult a time with the iggles – That too was a good game, and could have gone either way. (Turnpike Bowl? alas :sad_bye: )

I was especially pleased when Polamalu, after all the interceptions he’s had this season, finally took one in for the score*. It was like he didn’t play the first 3 quarters and then suddenly showed up in q4 :bounce: I guess his injured calf was finally warmed up! (He is my fave – We used to have the same hair, til I donated mine to Locks of Love)

(* That wasn’t taken away by erroneous officiating 😛 )

Hi tee–you’re right, the SB will be tough. Cardinals were great yesterday, I also like Kurt Warner. I like that he is very open about his faith. 👍 I am praying for McGahee who is injured…that hit was …oh my gosh, horrible.

Go Steelers!

As an aside, I don’t see the Steelers being talked up today…it’s like…The Steelers ‘survived’ against the Ravens yesterday…survived? Uh, they WON. LOL  😃 Steelers are not well liked by the media, not sure why. The Cardinals are being praised today to no end. I expected as much, seeing they have never been in a SB I don’t think? We shall see!

I lived in Pittsburgh for a while…it’s a charming city with a lot of culture and history. I miss it sometimes. My dh grew up there.
Yeah Pittsburgh is nice. I just go to college here at Duquesne, but actually my family lives in Johnstown. Pittsburgh’s a pleasant change, since there isn’t much in Johnstown.
I clicked on your piano repetoire link…I play piano too, although don’t play as much as I’d like or used to. I love the classics, and my fave piece to play on the piano is Debussy’s Clair De Lune…I also love Bach’s two part inventions, and Mozart. 👍
Yeah Clair de Lune is definitely one of the more popular classical pieces it seems. I love Bach, but am not a fan of Mozart. My favorite composer is Saint-Saëns, probably followed by Chopin, and Rachmaninoff.

I’m a classical piano performance major at Duquesne. Classical music is pretty much all I’ve ever learned.

I’m learning my first piano concerto, so am really excited about that. My piano teacher wants me to be in a piano concerto competition in October.

Anyway, sorry to go off topic. Just thought it was interesting you play the piano.

Hi Lucania–yay–they won!
I ate too much though:( --will need to workout a little harder this week. 😛 Hope you had a fun night!!
:dancing: Woo-Hoo! What a nail biter (as usual). In spite of some of the calls, we did it!! I ate way too much yesterday, too:shrug: . I’ll do more cardio;) . Just think, in two weeks we can do it all over again!!!

I used to live in St. Louis, and I am a Cardinals fan.Yay!!!

I have always been a Kurt Werner fan. I don’t think he was treated well in New York. He has always been an underdog with a deep faith in God. He and his wife give a lot back to the community.

I just want to say one more thing…
GO CARDINALS, BEAT THE STEELERS :extrahappy: :dancing: 🤷

😊 I just couldn’t contain myself.

Well, we’re in mourning here as I’m a Lancaster PA transplant and Phila fan:( . At least I’ll have ONE PA team in the Super Bowl to root for. Someday someone will tell Andy Reid and the Eagles that football games are actually 60 MINUTES LONG and it’s customary to play the whole thing!!!😦 !!!
Someone needs to tell the entire Eagles team to move somewhere else. They just cannot win the big one.

😃 It’s ok–the Cardinals look like a force to be reckoned with, frankly. Hope the Steelers can win, but it will be a fun game to watch I think!

a quick update on Willis McGahee (player carted off the feild) The research is from todays edition of the Baltimore Sun. “McGahee, who missed most of training camp after knee surgery and had a slow start to the regular season, was resting at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital last night with movement in all his limbs and was “neurologically intact,” a team spokesman said. McGahee was taken off on a stretcher with 3:29 remaining in his team’s 23-14 AFC championship loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Team doctor Leigh Ann Curl was staying in Pittsburgh with McGahee” Prayers are answered
Thanks so much for this update. We did hear last night that he was moving limbs, etc.

We really took this time during the game to talk to our kids about the players praying for each other. That was so beautiful to see.

And, after the game, the coaches, the players were so respectful of each other and each other’s teams.

Good sportsmanship is so important. And, sometimes it’s a hard lesson to learn as a kid.

And, I was so proud of my kids as they all remembered to pray for the injured players during our night prayer.

And, btw - YAY STEELERS!!!

👍 👍 👍 👍

We watched the Cardinals/Eagles game here, and were rooting for the Cardinals (or as dd called them, the red team) because of Kurt Warner 😃 (we are actually Rams fans, although we have no ties to St Louis 🙂 ).
It was a great game!
