No, I have no desire to join the Church.AG: is there something u are withholding from us, namely that u have a desire to join the Church?
I started out with a desire to understand the Catholic faith, and this site and most if it’s members have been invaluable to that end.
While engaging in conversation with people of faith on line is a very enjoyable and profitable exercise, usually, you can get a lot of conflicting information, because people are giving you their opinion, not the facts, or their interpretation of statements, which can, with the best of intentions, be confusing.I know many agnostics and atheists who would rather throw the catechism in the trash, yet u seem to know it… anyway I applaud u on your familiarity with the catholic faith
So I got a copy of the Catechism and I was immediately blown away by how well it was put together, linked to Scripture and cross referenced with a ton of Papal documents.
It makes establishing the Church’s position on points a very enjoyable interesting and rewarding experience and I highly recommend that every Catholic should own a Catechism in hard copy.
It also highlights the consistency of the Church and her teachings over the centuries.
