Watching Star Wars VI

Hello,
I wonder if there is any way to watch Return of the Jedi but with the shots of Slave Leia cut out. I am going through the Star Wars saga with a friend, but I want to avoid sin. For example if there was a way to have the timestamps written down so that I could skip them, however, skipping them manually would be risky. I don’t actually think there’s a way to do this, but just in case anyone knows.

As far as I’m aware, the only way to get an edited version of the film would be to download and illegal copy of it. You potentially could edit it yourself using video software, it that would have to be done manually.
 
If you are this freaked out by possibly seeing 1 millisecond of Leia in a bikini, maybe you just shouldn’t watch the movie at all.
 
The only sin in Return of the Jedi are the changes that George Lucas made from the original theatrical release. 😝

In Europe you can see it on Amazon Prime with the system of being able to run 10 seconds at a time, but the vision is not free, you have to pay € 12-14

The very first danger is becoming numb to sin.

The whole philosophy behind the movie (and the series in general) is blasphemous and heretic (occultism and kabbalism for instance). Besides, many characters commit various sins.

So even if a Catholic doesn’t agree with the sins initially, by having fun with the movie instead of being scandalized by it means the person became numb. And this is a step very close to a fall.

Perhaps if the person watching it is very young and impressionable. But most adults are fully capable of recognizing that it’s just a sci-fi movie and not taking it that seriously.

Also, what movie doesn’t have a character committing sins? How could you have a plot at all with no conflict? You know the Bible contains lots of stories committing sins, right?
 
My point is: having fun with scandalous things is dangerous to the soul.

Besides, the circumstances of reading Sacred Scriptures and watching a movie are completly different. On the one hand, when we read the Bible we are looking for spiritual and moral teachings, i.e., Wisdom, so we are in theory fully alert of what is right and wrong. On the other hand, the goal of watching a movie is completly different. It is just having fun, unless you are doing it as a research to seek whether it is good or not.

But it’s not actually scandalous. It’s a sci fi movie that takes place in what everyone understands is a completely fictional universe.

If a movie featuring Jabba the Hut shakes someone’s faith to the core, I have to wonder how strong it was in the first place.
