Hi all,

I just received a bottle of precious water from Lourdes in a plastic bottle of Our Lady. I have it up right next to our Sacred Heart statue. Any ideas on how to use it? Should I just leave it alone reserving it only for extreme illness? Should I bless my 3 yr old, almost 2 yr old, and 4 month old with it? Any ideas? Thanks.

Peace
Use it the way you use any other holy water. Bless yourself and your children with it.

You can also drink it, in times of illness.

When I visited Lourdes, I went with my wife and the other four people who were on our tour to the baths, where you can submerge your entire body in the water from the spring at Lourdes.

Anyway, the day was a raw damp October day. When you go into the baths,(men and women have their own), they hand you a towel, that you wear around your waist, after you’ve stripped down. Each bath has helpers, who help you down the steps into the bath, which of course is ice cold. There, they pray with you and its up to you, how wet you want to get. Myself, I figured, I came all this way, I’m going for full immersion.

As I came out of the bath dripping wet, I saw dry towels hanging up, and I went to get one, but the usher said no, just get dressed. I thought to myself, but I’m all wet. I can’t put dry clothes over my wet skin and then go out into the cold raw air! But thats what I had to do. Amazingly, as I walked out into the air, I became aware that I was completely dry. My hair wasn’t even damp and I felt warm. My wife and the others we were with, also noticed the same thing.

Lourdes is holy ground. If you get an opportunity to visit, don’t pass it up.

My best friend visited Lourdes and told me the same thing.
That is amazing. I wish one day I could visit there.

Jim that sounds amazing, I wish I had taken the bath when I went. Ah well I’m only a 2 hour flight away so God willing some day soon.

God Bless

Peter

P.S If anyone is really stuck for Lourdes water I have about a gallon of it, that and a tank of Knock water. PM me if you’d like me to send some as I’m stuck for ideas for its uses and it seems an awful shame to just leave it sitting here 🙂

I have just tried to gain a bottle of Holy Water and am not able to gain one because I live out of the United States. (In New Zealand).

So sad, any way.
Godbless

The best thing you can do for your children is to bless them with Holy Water. There is a website called www.catholictradition.com and near the bottom of the page is an article on the many uses of Holy Water. I use Holy Water in my cooking as well as Blessed Salt. God Bless.
