I have a Missal called “St Joseph Daily” which is from the fifties.
It is written in plain Saxon. Would the Spanish Mass be the same words?

Dont know. You may even be surprised to find that their missal may be in both english (or saxon?)and spanish! Call up the place and ask them, or is there a website for that Archdiocese ? You could e-mail them and someone there could get in touch with you on the details, I live in the US in the midwest so I am of no help to you here, unfortunatly!😦

I would like you to give it a shot in any case, if for no other reason to start a new thread telling us all how it went!🙂

If its from the 50’s I would not count on it being the same.
 
Now that we solved all that, I guess I should warn you that Catholics on the whole dont call people heathens anymore. If they do its unfortunate. Or maybe they are actors and have a flair for the dramatic.
I haven’t heard it said in my whole life. Only in books and movies.
 
Is Saxon the same as Sassenach? Just asking. . .one Scot to another ( My father’s family was very Calvinist. . .how did I get to be Catholic? German grandfather–from Bavaria, actually-- on Mom’s side).

Honestly, no sectarian violence here:D.

I’d cheerfully go to your church as a friend; I simply would not receive communion there. I know that God is present in your church and in you and all those who gather in His name.

Some day we will hopefully all receive together at the table of the Lord in heaven.

Actually, and staying right on topic here, aren’t we all really speaking a modern version of the West Midlands dialect? The only actual Saxon I know is “Grendel gang-an Goddes yre y’baer.” (anyway, something like that)

But back on what I think might be the point, what is the “invisible Catholic Church”?

Nihilism? It literally means nothingness or belief in nothing. Ppl say its basically atheismt but they are wrong. nihilism does away with constructed universals (evil, good, morality, justice) concepts and views them as relative.

A true nihilist I would say is similar to an agnostic. The difference that a nihilist views the idea of weather ro not there is a higher being as stupid as you cant get conclusive evidence either way so dont argue it.

I personally believe in the Platonian Demiurge because there is evidence for it besides a local instance making it a true universal as opposed to a constructed one.

West Midlands IS a form of Old Saxon, why they call it “Angle-ish” I will never know.
I also have Franks for ancestors, DeChiel from Lyon.
Better not say they were Huguenots or I will be kicked off of here:rolleyes:

I will tell you what I will do.
I will make it a point to go to Mass within the next three months.
I have dishonoured the FC Methodists by attending a UMC service last week and a Presbyterian service recently.
I dearly love the congregation at the FCM Church and wish to go several more sundays in a row before venturing on another visit.
