"We Are Church" organization

Has anyone heard of a group called “We Are Church?” I read that it has something to do with Vatican II.

I read an article by the President of this group and the things that he said about Pope Benedict XVI didn’t sound right.
 
They want women priests, the church to be run by the ‘people’ not the Vatican, gay marriage, for the church to stop teaching abortion etc is a sin etc etc etc

The usual story. According to them they represent the ‘real’ oppressed majority of Catholics who want all these things and to whom the Church is refusing to listen to. The interviews they gave when the new pope was elected were pretty nasty.:mad:

Oh yeah & Vatican II intended for the Church to make all these changes but it hasn’t been implemented properly:banghead:
 
I’m currently reading “Ungodly Rage”, which is about feminism in the Catholic church, and while I have not finished the book, I believe this organization is listed.

It has its roots in the goddess-worship/herstory/Woman-Church of the feminist roots and demands power in the form of ordination and other interests dear to the evil one’s soullessness.

They want to redefine “truth” according to their whims, change the liturgy to reflect goddess-worship and strike down all ritual which represents the “patriarchy”. They have explained Genesis by a ridculous interpretation and the “suppression” of women subsequent to a myth they made up based upon Genesis.

They seek to impose their will upon the unsuspecting and uninformed, thinking that their movement still has life when they already lie dead.

I say we bury them as they have already buried themselves and remain watchful that they don’t try to rise again and steal so many souls.
 
Thank you for the information. Sometimes you can sense that all is not right when you read interviews like that. This group’s president was subtly putting down JPII and making claims that Pope Benedict XVI was not going to be so lenient on Medjegorje. (sp?)

My intuition was waving red flags. (Maybe it was my guardian angel?)

Heck, by their very actions … most of them aren’t even really Catholics.:nope:
