"We can't take this anymore", Holy Redeemer Parishoners want Rome to clean up the Church

The church needs to stand up and just stick to what the Bible says. Just do what it says and not worry about hose who don’t like it. And the things about the priest “not wanting to rock the boat” Why shouldn’t he rock it? Remember when wondering “What would Jesus do?” Tearing walls and up turning tables is a viable response

Ok. Exodus 21:20-21 says,
20 "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21 but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.
Be careful when you quote the Bible – especially the OT – out of context.

If you have ever had a workers comp claim you know this is still true to some extent. Just replace slave with worker (matter of semantics is you ask me).

This has nothing to do with worker’s comp – it’s about the just beating of a slave.

The OP is not about dressing like women, either – and quoting the OT ban on such is irrelevant. The people in question are not attempting to deceive as to their gender; they seek to mock the Church – which is a far different sin.

Just because there is a Catholic church in San Francisco that may be on the edge or worse, it does not mean that the whole Church is in big trouble. Faith in Jesus and His Church will be tested, but his assurance is divine that it will prevail. Amen:)
