You certainly are confused! Jesus is God, and God is uncreated.

It is God’s nature to exist as a family of 3 persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These 3 are God, co-existent, co-eternal and co-equal. It is eternally so.

Lucifer was created as an angel, as all the angels were created. They, like all of creation, were created by Christ.

Everything that is not God is a creation. Angels, you, me everything that is not God are creatures. The bible says it. If you believe that Christ is a creature, then you are not a Christian. You seem like a very decent person, but sadly you are not a Christian.

Sorry,
Paul
Paul,
WhyMe seems to be a very conflicted person. He wants very badly to be in both camps, he aspires to be Catholic(i think) but cannot reconcile the falsity of mormonism. As I have posted before, he cannot serve light and darkness, he must choose one (Catholicism) or the other (mormonism.) The two are mutually incompatible. mormons may very well be nice people and all. but nice won’t get you saved, as much as some would wish it so.

If you notice your verse you will see ‘the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him’ What does this mean? It means that the person is a prophet who just happened to speak presumptously. It just means that prophets are also human.
There is quite a difference between speaking presumptuously and prophesying presumptuously. The latter makes you a false prophet. Certainly prophets are human but prophesy is a divine gift.

I can perhaps agree with you about this. Long ago, the lds were encouraged ‘to multiply and replenish the earth’. For some reason that has more or less changed with many lds couples. However, in Utah, the birthrate is still high. In the past, mormons had children out of love and also to allow other spirit children the opportunity to receive a physical body.

I think that I got it correct.
My guess as to why the change is that Mormons, like everyone else, now have access to highly effective and socially acceptable methods of contraception. I’m not sure about the history of Mormon teaching on contraception though. (Maybe an interesting discussion for a new thread.)

My concern with the LDS is not so much the decrease in size of Mormon families as it is their barbaric practice of actually sanctioning some abortions.(Although I believe the two are linked.) For a prayerful man like President Hinkley to hold the position he does regarding abortion shows me that something has gone terribly wrong for the LDS.

whyme, you sound like an honest person. With all due respect to Hosemonkey, I see you as less “conflicted” and more “searching”, which I find admirable. All the best as you look for answers.

Since we were taught as mormons ( and according to the book of mormon) that the catholic church is the church of satan then I find it strange that they would attend satan’s church service. I know of no mormon who went on a mission that ever went to a non-mormon church service. It is quite common for a mormon aplogist to go to other religious websites like this one and try to convert people. FARMS has a few “scholars” on its payroll who call up radio programs that critcize mormon beliefs. They don’t use their real names though. It’s funny how once you become a mormon “scholar” on FARMS your credibility is the laughing stock of real scholars. I’m not a mormon anymore because I don’t believe (1) God has a wife or wives (2).God wasn’t once a man (3) Jesus and Satan are our literal brothers (4) God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are 3 separate gods (5) God has a human body (6) the king james version is the only inspired bible (7) the garden of eden was in missouri (8) blacks are cursed with dark skin (9) I can become a god (10) any church that covers up its history can be God’s true church

Every year for the past 5, St. Andrew has had a group of Mormon Missionaries who attend once each. Each year a different group.

Fact: Mormon Missionaries are attending services in other faiths.
Fact: they are doing so in suit with nameplate.

The question is “Why?”

Trolling for “goldens”?

Looking for more things to imitate (that Mason stuff is getting pretty old!) in their ‘worship services’?
