It is better to go in your “neat ponytail, clean jeans, flats and a t-shirt” than not go at all! Perhaps put together a sort of dressier but easy “uniform” for Mass. The ponytail and flats, but with chino type pants and a sweater? Easy and still comfortable enough for the rest of the day.So true! I often get overwhelmed thinking about putting on a dress, heels, makeup, styling my hair - only to come home and put my hair in a pony, wash off my face and slip into oversized sweats! But for everyone who suggests a neat ponytail, clean jeans, flats and a t-shirt for busy moms, there is someone else bemoaning how people don’t dress up for Mass anymore! I once read something to the effect of “You are going to meet your king - so dress like you are meeting a king!” I would feel so much better just going in basic, clean clothes that I could do the grocery shopping in later on.
