Please pray that we get some rain. We had a small shower this past week, but it’s far short of what we need. Our drought is becoming very serious, and the water level of the river is as low as its ever been.
Might have to revive General Patton’s “weather prayer” for this situation!
Lord God almighty, You who smile upon the entirety of the earth which You alone created, send in your Divine mercy, the rains upon Kentucky so that the parched earth may drink up its goodness and bring forth good fruit, as Your will requires. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.
The same is going on here in Alabama. The crabgrass and surviving weeds needed cutting in the back yard yesterday. So here I go with the lawnmower. Had to quit after a few swipes because it was stirring up a dirt cloud so thick that I couldn’t see what I was doing!
Dear Lord…Please remove this high pressure system that is stuck over the South and bring us some much needed rain, if it be your will. Thank you.
