Hey, I would like to investigate this. Can you post a link to the donation board you are referring to??? Thanks and God Bless.
Sure thing. Here it is:

givingworks.ebay.com/

If you look up the “nonprofits” you can sponsor, both Planned Parenthood and NOW are on there, as well as the gay agenda foundation, but no pro-life groups that I could find. I know NRLC isn’t on there. 😦

Which is particularly funny because Planned Parenthood is a FOR profit organization.

The other thing is, it may be old news but the ebay credit card I believe was on the pro-life boycott list because they give some of the moneys to PP. But if you don’t go into debt I guess it doesn’t matter.

Oh I take it back I finally found ONE Right to Life state organization listed there!! It’s for Arizona.

But they have it listed under RELIGIOUS!!! No wonder I couldn’t find it!

They are NOT a religious organization!!!

Okay I noticed they have a total of two pro-life charities listed (and those are just state ones, not national) but they have 2 whole pages of Planned Parenthood’s affiliates listed, plus a national branch of NOW.

Hmmmm…

There. I just clicked on reccomend a charity and reccomended National Right to Life.

Will anyone else please do the same? Just go HERE:and scroll down to the bottom and click on “RECCOMEND A NONPROFIT”.
The Nonprofit email for it is:
NRLC@nrlc.org

Or you can reccomend another pro-life or Christian charity you like, just remember to include thier contact email adress.

If more than one person asks they are more likely to actually list it I think - cause whatever thier politics they are still out to make money.

What about the sale of religious icons and such? I thought the statement made by eBay, though to be lauded, was as well vague.
What’s wrong with selling religious icons? How are we going to acquire icons and other religious items if we don’t buy them? Doesn’t even the Vatican have a shop?

I searched eBay’s site for some statement indicating that the Eucharist, Relics, Blessed items, etc were prohibited. I could not find it anywhere?

Someone actually tried selling the Eucharist on Ebay???!!! Someone actually had the gall to steal something as Blessed as the Host from church!? Yikes.

Br. Rich,
I have to echo your question. I searched eBay extensively last night, and I could not find a policy change listed in the eBay Community Center. If anyone else has been able to find the policy revision officially on the site, would you please post the link??? Thanks and God Bless.

Hey Thanks. I willbe sure to do that tomorrow. Do you think we could add the Catholic League and/or the Thomas More LAw Center??? Thanks and God Bless.

I not thing policy chande may be listed at all.

They would just ban such sales.

You can help them out by participating in VERO(copyrighted matherial or people who looking for monitor particular things sale)

Or just run favorite searches, which would monitor everything you need to know comes for sale…

Here some more info about eBay:

Before it is calimed as a “victory” they need to be publically posted on the the Banned and prohibited items policy!

I think they stated that they determined that the Eucharist falls into existing rules so there probably wouldn’t be a separate statement. It’s like giving in without making look like you are giving in. But as long as they do shut down these auctions if they pop up I’ll be happy.

Be sure to keep a copy of the email that eBay sent out stating they will no longer allow the selling of the Eucharist…just in case eBay should “forget” their policy.
