I think that the only caveat to wearing jeans is the latest fad called “low-rise”. When I buy a pair of jeans, I make sure that they aren’t low-rise and that they would be fitting enough to wear to Mass (on casual Friday, and even for the Anticipated Sunday Vigil Mass). In fact, Stein-Mart carries lot of high quality jeans that are neither low-rise nor tawdry looking (and for a great price).
Unfortunately, those kids who do shop at bebe, guess? or the Express don’t have an option for regular rise jeans because the designers only make the low-rise variety. I might add that apart from being rather immodest, the low-rise jeans don’t do anybody any favors.
