Their Icons are blasphemous as well. There was a huge thread on this issue in the old Eastern Christianity section.

Keepest thou away from them.

I had bought my sister an icon from Monastary Icons last year before I found out that there was a problem with the group. The Icon had been blessed by my deacon before I gave it to my sister. Do you guys think the Icon is ok or should I warn my sister and ask her to get rid of it?

Yes I would get rid of it. Just throw it out.

This is the paragraph from the link provided by Nicholas82 that freaked me out:

*They have one “iconographer” there who paints all their pictures (please, not icons). All are “blessed” with one of their occult rituals before being shipped, and they support themselves to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars per year selling the demonic things. **Many Roman Catholic bookstores sell them **but, happily, most Orthodox sellers of religious items have discovered who and what they are and no longer do business with them.
*

I will DEFINITELY talk to the local Catholic bookstores and make sure they are not selling these icons!

Yes good point. I’m sure that any Eastern Catholic would be able to pick out whether they were blasphemous or not, however most Roman Catholics don’t have much knowledge about Icons so there could be some confusion there.

I’ve ordered some from religiousmall.com/byzicons.html
I would recommend Agape Icons, run by our own PaniRose, who posts on this site regularly. Her husband is a Greek Melkite Catholic deacon. They have some very nice stuff!
That’s awesome. I didn’t know she did that – or maybe I once knew but had forgotten. (I know PaniRose from the forum on the ByzCath website, even though I haven’t had a chance to converse with her on the CA website.)

Blessings,
Peter.
