I know this is weird, but

marinetraffic.com/ais/

fascinates me. You can see maritime traffic around the world in real time with heading and speed. Most commerical ships also have links to pictures and brief histories of the ship. I personally love to look in on Maritius (East of Madagascar). There is little traffic there, but it is a beautiful island.

A random fun facts site without lewd content, but use good judgement when following links.

neatorama.com/

BTW, my wife loves cakewrecks too. She shows me about three cakes a week from that site.

The ones I frequent are:

www.spiritdaily.com
www.ewtn.com
www.wdtprs.com
www.newliturgicalmovement.org
www.wfts.com
www.catholic.com [Catholic Answers, naturally]
www.catholicity.com
wikipedia [that was put in when my computer was upgraded last year]
www.findagrave.com [what can I say? I like looking at famous graves]
www.catholiceyecandy.com [places and objects, NOT PEOPLE :o ]

There’s a site I found from Belgium called, ‘Oeuvre du Sacre Coeur’ [Work of the Sacred Heart]. It has to do with the Message given by Our Lord to a Spanish Sister of the Society of the Sacred Heart, Josefa Menendez. Very interesting photos of her, her parents, her two sisters, and the convent in Poitiers, France, where she had her visions of the Sacred Heart from 1920 to 1923. I can’t remember the link word for word, though.

I also found one called, ‘newsaints.faithweb.com’ a/k/a The Hagiography Circle. On this one is tons of information about Saints, Blesseds, Venerables, and Servants of God.

www.realcatholictv.com —>> The FIRST Catholic TV station entirely on the internet! 😃

Catholic Answers Forums
Facebook
Google News - which includes a custom filter for Catholic news and news from my state.

Occasionally Etsy and eBay if I feel like “window shopping”. 😃

Pretty much that’s it - I don’t have time for too much else.

Religious sites (in addition to CAF, of course):

EWTN (I find their Rosary webpages especially helpful)

The official Vatican site (for Church documents)

New Advent (I like their Catholic Encyclopedia portal)

Bible Gateway (it’s not Catholic, but it has the best Bible search engine I’ve found on the Web)

Other sites:

Internet Movie Database (great for movie trivia and amateur reviews; also has a TV schedule)

Flickr (sometimes it’s fun just to browse photos on various subjects)

National Review Online (conservative news and excellent writing)

How Much Is That in Real Money? (an excellent site for determining, among other things, how much a dollar amount from yesteryear would be worth today)

Project Gutenberg (for free copies of hundreds of books – I love it because I have an e-reader)

The Web Gallery of Art (huge searchable collection of paintings – also provides a free postcard service that I often use)

The Volokh Conspiracy (an excellent blog on legal topics, especially constitutional issues, from a mostly gentle libertarian POV)

The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (a wonderful collection of truly scholarly articles on all aspects of philosophy – it’s where I go when I want something more reliable than Wikipedia)

Cross & Gavel (a site with resources for Christian lawyers)

And of course Amazon.com and Wikipedia. If I think of others, I’ll post them. Have fun! 🙂

I go on California Catholic, a news site, regularly. California is right at the center of many things going on in the Church.
I appreciate the other suggestions here, and have checked out some of them.
