Thanks; dd just loved it. It is from the Casablanca bridal line. They have some lovely gowns, many of them quite distinctive, and they are reasonably priced. We do like the idea of a little lace bolero to go with it, though.

Dd’s wedding is just about a month away now and she is so excited. We love her future husband dearly and they are a sweet couple.
 
Has anyone worn one of the new wedding dresses splashed with color? I saw some incredible ones in the shops - trains with reds, blues, greens, wow. What did you think about those new styles? I kind of think it’s a nice trend if it’s tasteful:)

Me… a $500 dress for $45.99… awesome find… post #34 this topic… It only cost me $10 for alterations because all I needed was an inch off in the front only…

I actually really loved those dresses. My first pick was an Alfred Angelo one with the navy blue since my girls will be in navy. Unfortunately, it only comes in white, and not an off white or an ivory so I didn’t look good in it with my red hair pale skin and freckles, I looked washed out, even with the color. Plus I fell in love with a custom made dress in champagne and coffee, It’s strapless, but I’m so “in” the dress that I have no concerns about popping out.

One of the dresses I tried on was a wierd dress too. I saw it on the rack and was like meh, but the best advice I got was go with what the sales person pulls out because sometimes what looks bad on a hanger really needs a human. I put the dress on, and was still like blah, but she did the laces and was like hmmm. The dress came with a bolero, and I tried it on, and was like blah, but then I stood there for 5 minutes and my mom, fmil, best friend and I were all like wow I kinda like the bolero.

I ended up with a different dress though, and I love it. I can’t wait to wear it. I’m sad I only get to wear it once.
 
That’s exactly where I saw the dresses - Alfred Angelo! I thought it was kind of cool.
 
I’ve tried on some of the ones with color (Alfred Angelo, I believe) but I’m not sure about them. My mother was laughing at me because I was looking at the swatch colors and trying to decide if they’d clash with the marble floor in the church 🙂
 
My dress came in last week and I got to try it on this past Monday! I’d post pics, but FDH lurks around CAF and we all know that he is not allowed to see it 👍
