Ooops, my first husband ad I married in the Church 11 days before Christmas. It was beautiful.In my honest opinion, weddings should not be celebrated during Advent, Lent, or the Triduum, due to the penitential nature of these liturgical seasons, but that is probably another discussion for another time.

@IdaCatholicNo I dont realize that. Not scheduling baptisms for over 40 days is spiritually irresponsible.
Oops! Mea culpa! Mea culpa! We’d been discussing weddings. I was in too much of a hurry and didn’t catch the switch to baptisms. I heartily agree with the above statement.

A former Pastor said to us, “You might make an argument for no Baptisms during Lent, but there is absolutely NO valid argument for suspending Baptism during Advent", as the Administrator had done before he was appointed.
