Here is mine! It was all satin and lace on top covering the entire satin fabric. Beautiful! My DM made it for me. She also made hers, the bridesmaids, my SILs, and my MILs.

It is a tiny pic, but that is all I could get.

Tonks - handmade? What a craftswoman she was. That is an amazing dress…the sleeves, the lace overlay. You are gorgeous.

Yeah, it was pretty amazing! I remember a couple of weeks before the wedding, we went to her house, and she was doing the beadwork on it - she was such a wiz at it! She was accenting the lacework - and she did her own applicays (sp?) too.

She was my mom’s best friend - and we all really do miss her.

Gosh, everyone looks soooo pretty!

I spent forever trying to find a dress with sleeves… we finally found a leftover dress from 2003 (I got married this spring) in an independent shop in a small town… I hated the skirt but loved the bodice, so there were massive alterations done, but it was all WORTH IT!

I love the lace on top!!! It is beautiful! My mom’s was like that, the lace on top, but with long lacey sleeves. My parents just celebrated their 25th anniversary the other day!

Here’s my dress from 13 years ago (seems like yesterday). The first one was taken after the alterations were done and the grainy one is the day of the wedding, but it shows all the bead work on the front. I spent about $150 on this dress because it was “damaged” (a few of the strings of beads going across the back had come off).

Wow,

There are a lot of brave women here showing their dresses before the wedding. Under no circumstance was I allowed to see my wifes dress before we were married!

Here are a couple pics of my wife in her dress. I dont think it was a ‘wedding’ dress but it worked. I think she did an awesome job picking it out: simple, appropriate and beautiful!
