Wedding/Mass on Sunday

My nephew is getting married (in a Catholic Church) on a Sunday afternoon this June. They apparently have gotten permission to have a nuptial Mass. Family members are in disagreement, and we have gotten conflicting statements from priests. Will this count as a Sunday Mass? (Many of us are coming from out-of-town, so it would be helpful to know!).
