What, does no one have Gregorian Chant at their Novus Ordo parish, and no Latin Either?! If not they are not in accordance with Vatican II,as it mandates the retention, promotion, and the utilization of both Gregorian Chant and Latin, and mandates the laity know both and how to say and sing each respectively, as well as being taught Latin as well. The banal, “On Eagles Wings” and “Gather us IN” were NEVER intended to be the hymns for masses(And frankly shouldn’t be! It is awful to hear these banal protestant hymns shoved up us Catholics, in an effort to protestantize and numb is to our Catholic Faith. Gregorian Chants such as Veni Creator Spiritus, Panis Angelorum, and Tantum Ergo, were just a few, that the congregration should be able to know to sing in Latin Gregorian Chant.
