Jane Elizabeth was born about an hour ago, 7 lbs 8 oz and just finished a nice conversation with Grandma, but had to go so she could finish her supper. DD and SIL doing fine, Big Brother has just about given up on having a baby sisters, since she is a couple of weeks overdue and he was getting suspicious, but is going in to meet her now. Rejoice with us for our joy is great.

Earlier today I ran across this book that seems appropriate for the occasion of your granddaughter’s birth. http://www.amazon.com/Loved-You-Bef...5299632?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191878039&sr=1-2 It’s about a Grandmother’s love. I haven’t read it, but the illustrations looked so beautiful and the first lines sounded so wonderful that I wanted to buy it. (I’m not a grandmother yet, just a book and baby lover.🙂 )

I love the name Jane. It is so simple to write on school papers, yet elegant and grown-up for adults.

I like the Austen names, too. My boss’s daughter is named Elinor. LOVE that.

Annie: Congrats, Grandma! We want photos! I know she’s prettier than her name but I want to see for myself. 🙂

My new granddaughter is one month old today, so from one Grandma to another - God bless, congratulations and prayers for the precious new Jane!
