I hope everyone is as happy as i am that the Pope is finally here. I Pray that People can see what a wonderful Person he is inside and out. I pray that he can somehow help get this country back on its feet. Maybe just being here will change alot. A miracle, if anyone can do it its him. Welcome Pope Benedict XVI.
 
Now more than ever I am really happy to be Catholic. I see His Holiness’ visit as a chance to talk about hope, something I think America–and heck, the Church all over the world–needs right now. I watched him come off the plane and I will be glued to the TV all week!! 😃

I’m so excited! I’m planning to stay close to home to see all of the coverage of his visit. I’m also trying to make sure I get it all taped for hubby who is out on the road right now (truck driver). He is listening on EWTN but not the same as having a visual. 🙂

This is so cool to have the Pope here in America.

I went outside about 3:57 this afternoon and sure enough the bells rang at 4:00. They continued ringing until 4:10. I havent felt this kind of joy since he became our beloved papa in 2005.

Isnt it wonderful to feel this kind of Joy again. God Bless America. Its like the Light is just glowing on us right now. This is the closest we will get to God until he comes again in Glory. I wish so bad I could have been there. I was only 4 hours away but I knew I would never get close enough. My husband teases me all the time because my dream is to ride in the Popemobile with him.
 
I’m so glad he is here!! I teared up when he walked down the stairs from the plane. Crazy, eh? It’s so inspiring. I’ve printed off the radio schedule so I can listen to his speeches while I’m at work and I’ve set my DVR for all the events. I was just amazed at how healthy he looks. I hope I’m that healthy at 81! I love the red shoes, too. What’s the story with them?

Ooh…I hadn’t thought of that…Obviously, that is symbolic of the Pope’s approval of our tax system. Perhaps he is snubbing those who want to cut taxes, by coming on tax day. I’m sure that is it! 😉 :rolleyes: 😛

He was so fearful of getting audited for late filing that he personally flew into Washington and handed them to the President.
