Today I was welcomed into the Church! I forgot the answers to the questions but it didn’t matter as all the catechumen and candidates were lined up and answered together (and we were kind of fed the answers too).
I was even asked to help present the Gifts, which was very awe inspiring to be a part of. I asked if it was ok to carry them even though I obviously can’t receive them yet. I was assured it was perfectly fine. The others who did it were in my RCIA class too. But, wow, to be chosen for that right out of the gate…

That is wonderful! May the Lord continue to bless, assist, and guide you on your spiritual journey.

How nice. I’m happy for you…Welcome Home.

However, you may want to read ahead about two weeks in the Liturgy, and check out the Gospel for Sunday for 20 September, paying particular attention to Mark 9:33-37. Keep the focus on the glory of Christ and not your prestige based merely on your association with him.

Peace!

I’m not puffed up about it, more humbled that I was singled out for it.

Wonderful! I know exactly how you feel. I was welcomed into the church July of 2014 and since then I’ve had so many graces showered on me similar to what you’ve experienced. I’m not prideful of it either; I felt humbled and still do because I see one of the things every time I go to church. I’ll keep you in my prayers as you continue in your journey of faith! :heaven:
