I wonder if this ad is more popular among NBA fans or something. They just played it during the final. The ad that celebrates the girl who will grow up without a father.

Probably should read: “We choose OUR happiness over the ability of our child to be able to grow up with a mother and a father.”
It is a commercial ad for Coka Cola. NOT any bank at all. Thanks for clearing that up…I wasn’t sure what that commercial was supposed to mean…glad I don’t bank with them
Yep, and it’s supposed to tug at our heartstrings and all.I wonder if this ad is more popular among NBA fans or something. They just played it during the final. The ad that celebrates the girl who will grow up without a father.
I believe Hallmark is a closely-held non-publicly traded company, but in general, companies have a fiduciary duty to their stockholders to be successful, to get people to buy their products, to increase profits, dividends, and raise the value of their stock. Not to mention keeping their employees employed. If I were Hallmark management, and took note of what percent of formerly paper-based greetings were being replaced by email and social media, I would have a duty to expand my market to make up for such changes. In reality, Hallmark or most other companies today could care less about people being gay or not, they simply want more people to buy its products, that is GREED, pure and simple, they are quite content to take money from ANYONE, and for ANY reason.
So, at which point does this turn into greed?I believe Hallmark is a closely-held non-publicly traded company, but in general, companies have a fiduciary duty to their stockholders to be successful, to get people to buy their products, to increase profits, dividends, and raise the value of their stock. Not to mention keeping their employees employed.
Bold: Pretty much this I believe. Companies know that lawsuits, due to corruption or employee abuse, is just outright bad for the company’s reputation and internal work atmosphere. A company’s"Out & Proud" section really is just a support group disguised as “we’re-inclusive-and-not-backwards” that’s just covering a potential lawsuit from such a demographic. In ironic fashion, it’s similar to tucking your shirt in before the Head Master catches you and writes you up for an afternoon detention.I guess I would want to be able to pull my $ from wells fargo or stop purchasing products that don’t support LGBT, is there anything out there to provide us that information. I work for a large insurance/financial company who has just started promoting support for LGBT employees and i would have to say **it probably is due to not wanting any lawsuits **as i’m sure many companies are also afraid of. What can we do about this? I’m thinking and praying.
Going to watch some G-rated entertainment, eh? Of the male oriented variety? :tsktsk:youtube.com/watch?v=Fe7DyWPYkQQ
Before I was going to watch a video of a 62 feet shot by Stephen Curry (NBA basketball player), this commercial came up. It basically caught me off guard and made me say "Wtf … " when it came to the “mommies” part. Sneaky.
