Went to confession and nobody was home

I’m sorry but my feedback won’t give you a lift. Since I’ve come back to the Church, I’ve gone to confession twice and both times I was one of a very few people going. I feel sorry for the priests sitting in the confessional, just waiting.
You’ve actually seen priests sitting in the confessional, waiting? Where?

I’m sure a busy priest (and have you ever met any other kind?) finds ways to multitask, and things to fill in the time spent in the confessional between confessions 😉

Yeah, I assume he’s doing SOMETHING in there besides staring at the wall, or :yawn: or :sleep: LOL.
I often see one of my priests during Adoration. He comes in, prays and reads for a while. I picture him sitting in the confessional, reading.
 
I tell you one thing, it would probably be difficult hearing back-to-back confessions - people coming in with all sorts of problems that they want advice on! The priests may be glad to have a break and a chance to breathe between penitents.
