Cheese some points please:
- Vatican II did NOT attack the TLM! If you think that please read the Vatican II council’s document on the liturgy. In no way does it ban the TLM.
- The mass of the ages takes a little while of getting used to. Some people say going to it three times in a row is what it takes and maybe a little longer. But well worth it.
- Everything done is done with great solemnity. The readings are not all jumbled up. The firs two readings ( OT and Gospel) are done during the liturgy of the word. After the Liturgy of the Eucharist, at the end of the mass, the last gospel is read. I personally love the last gospel! It’s very beautiful and reminds us of the Holy Trinity.
- Do you honestly believe that external movements count as active participation? Not neccessarily so. By prayinng WITH the priest and learning to follow along the prayer sin the missal you ARE participating! Pray the mass!
- You are being extremely rude. Your nasty remarks about the mass of the ages are rather insensitive. Why make a post like this? To bash a form of the liturgy which hass endured for 1500 years? This is the attitude taken by modernists after Vatican II. No sense of the sacred or respect for the sacred.
