Went to my first EF mass today

very awesome experience.

it was in a small chapel in chesapeake, staffed by an FSSP priest.

lots of latin, good singing, incense, and kneeling for an 1 1/2.

too bad im moving. they are building a larger church because they’ve had such an explosion of growth.

the priest was very nice and they were very family friendly.

if you havent been to one, get to one fast.

That priest is my cousin! Well, like 3rd or 4th, but he baptized my son and was absolutely instrumental in helping me live through some of my darkest days after my daughter passed away. That parish is truely blessed to have him. He will always be there for all of his parishioners (there were many times I called him in crisis and he was right there willing to help). He also told me the truth even when it was difficult to hear, so I trust him completely to give an honest answer. I am actually jealous though, because I have never been to a Mass that he has prayed! Go back as often as you can before you leave!
