We had stopped pitting the Extraordinary Form against the Ordinary Form and had limited ourselves to simply expressing why we like the one form or the other form and what we get out of it. It seems that we’re slipping back to the old patterns.
My form of the mass is reverent and good. Your form in bad.
Or
The Church is wrong and I am right and the Church needs to go with my preferred form of the mass.
Or
I’m going to tell you what I think about you, rather than share my faith.
Let’s get back to where we were. When speaking about the EF and OF, limit yourselves to speaking about your journey. Stop trying to get the other person to see your point of view. That’s not the purpose of this forum. The purpose is to share, ask questions and learn, not market any preference.
