Were ghosts/demons in my house last night?

So last night I had this strange dream of walking into a haunted house and encountering ghosts. As I made my way out of the house, I felt an evil presence that I knew was Satan. I rushed out of the house and met a lady outside who drove away the ghosts that had followed me outside. Before going to bed last night, I also felt all hot, like I had a fever. I felt fine the next morning. Could this dream have my brain’s way of making sense of ghosts and demons being in my house last night, then being banished by an angel?

Ghosts are not part of Catholic belief, unless you are speaking of the Holy Ghost, which you’re clearly not.

If you continue to be troubled by such thoughts, please speak to a priest. We can’t help you here.

Sounds to me like you had a fever and went to sleep, and had a dream and then woke up and didn’t have a fever.

If the dream gave you anxiety, pray. If it gave you comfort, pray.

I’ve had dreams of demons and Satan, and of being aided by angels or our Blessed Mother or Our Lord. Their protection gave me comfort, and I gave thanks to God for the consolation. But they were just dreams.

Just pray and cleave to God, AZ. It must have been a scary experience.

Unfortunately, I’m not trained to be able to answer your question. I have heard that demons can be tricky little buggars. I watch quite a few videos from Exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger. He speaks of all kinds of tricks they use. Having said that, I still don’t know whether if your dream was demonic or not.
I can say I agree with above comments … Pray. Be sure you’re in a state of Grace. Pray some more. Prayer works! And if it’s something that really is bothering you, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to speak to your Priest about it.
I have a gold coin that I keep on the table in front of my computer at all times along with a small Crucifix. On front of the coin it says, “The Full Armor of God … Pray Always.”
On the back of the coin is Eph. 6:11-12. It reminds me to always pray and keep the whole armor of God on.
Sorry for the ramble. Just thought I’d add my thoughts to the thread. I will indeed say a prayer for you!
For anyone curious or who may not have ever heard of Fr. Ripperger I’ve provided a link below describing who he is.

Depends how your define ghost. The Church believes in all sorts of “other-worldly” beings such as demons, unclean spirits etc.

I dreamed that I was eating a giant marshmallow…and when I woke up, my pillow was gone!

Do you remember the appearance of the lady? Perhaps she was a representation of Our Lady, whom the demons fear.
