Something else in common between all churches - we believe in the power of prayer.
The LDS faith believes in the “anointing of the sick” like the Catholics do and I have seen many examples of LDS priests anointing non-LDS people and vice versa.
My mother, who is a devout Catholic, prays for me, my husband, and our children who are LDS. She even sends our names to the Carmelite sisters for their morning prayer to grant us blessings. Likewise, my LDS family prays for my parents and brothers and sisters who are Catholic that they may also be blessed.
I truly believe that God hears and answers our sincere prayers regardless of what religious affiliation the prayer may come from.
