Nationalism is a good thing?

In my opinion, absolutely. I don’t share the values of Europe, the mentality of much of the third world and its corruption, and I am happy and proud to be an American. I’m fine with it. I’m also one of those neanderthals that believes the United States should be sovereign and protect its borders. I’m a wildman!!

LOL, no, Josie, lol, you’re funny. I’m thinking more toward the south! lol…but border security between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico should be taken seriously from a terrorist threat standpoint lol…I like Canada…eh! I love the way Canadians say words like “house,” and “mouse.” sounds like hoows and moows lol Plus they pioneered words like eh and hoser! lol Plus they shot the X-Files in Canada; that’s reason enough to like the country!

Has Nationalism been a good thing for Europe?

What is this–twenty questions? LOL…I think I’ll do some questioning! lol…what would be your preferred alternative to nationalism? Would you like feudalism, communism, monarchies, or some scary sort of one-world new world order government? To bash nationalism, please give me a solution in its place. I am happy, as I stated earlier, with my country. It has tons of holes in it, no doubt–namely abortion being the chief of them, but it’s the best thing going and a great experiment. As I said, I’d like to hear your alternative.

That is exactly it, a theory that bears no truth at all, and yes, I meant to say fallacious argument.

A theory by definition has to at least be plausible, so my theory can’t be a theory that bears no truth at all (poor grammatical structure). If something bears no truth at all it’s a statement that bears no truth at all (not a theory).

The question is can you prove my statement bears no truth at all?

I read an article once from one critic of Zeitgeists, the movie about, Conspiracy theories. In that movie it claimed some pagan myths is one of the factors of Christianity.

You’re creating a false nexus. I never implied Christianity was a conspiracy. I merely stated it’s not unreasonable to believe earlier myths had some degree of influence on Christianity, given the parallels and the fact that these earlier myths and Christianity began and flourished in the same culture.

This hypothesis is reasonable on its face.

As for as UFOs, that you states, I doubt they exist. I don’t doubt that there is a possible of life other planets than earth in the universe. Oddly, many scientists presumed their are other life forms out there but there is no proof that other planets have life, yet they can conclude, that if conditions are right, life could exist in the most primitive conditions.

Yet we don’t have a verified incidence of a UFO visiting earth ever in history.

There have been reports of miracles. Some could be fake; some could be supernatural in origins. The scientific studies done on miracles of Fatima, as well as other approved apparitions prove that it can happen, and these are well documented, or how about those so called reports of ghost reported by some folks. Frankly, I do not care if you do not believe in religion.

Same thing, we don’t have a verified incidence of a paranormal miracle ever in history.

Perhaps, you are trying to convert us to your "non-belief in nothing.

You should be saying “go Canadians” as I’m from Montreal, the Maple Leafs (that’s how I’ve heard them refered to) are from Toronto, they are our arch enemy (try saying that 5 times fast).

I actually meant maple leaves in general, the nation’s flag LOL, but since I did mention hockey, I see your point! lol…arch enemies, eh!? I know how that is. I’m in the central valley of california. Half my town of Visalia is San Francisco Giants fans (like me) and the other half or so are Los Angeles Dodgers fans (puke). Giants-Dodgers is about as nasty a rivalry as Boston Red Sox vs. NY Yankees! It’s pretty intense!

Sadly, the Dodgers made it to the playoffs and, despite my Giants being like 14 games over .500, they were a few games behind Colorado for the wild card and missed the playoffs. I’m bummed. It’s 49ers time now! Bay Area all the way baby! lol

I think our countries government is better than communism, socialism, democratic socialism or a dictorship. Canada and western Europe no nothing of freedom and thier governments are socialistic. Thier kind of governments are soft tyranny. But our system is just a system made up by man and it really has nothing to do with God. The prefect form of government from a Catholic point of view I think would be a Catholic monarchy. But since we can’t have that our American Republic is many times better than any socialistic idea. One way Amercia is great is that we Catholics can worship freely here.
