Can I just say a genuine and heart felt huge

to everyone here who have provided me with so much information, books, links, and brain zapping thoughts to stew over.

I’ve read 27 books, 589 documents, 4732 links to internet pages and documents, listened to 8 CD’s, read 44 pamphlets, and posted a million questions.

You have all been so kind and tolerant and patient and understanding.

Most beneficial of all was to hear those objections to the Catholic Church. It is clear you have a deep faith and hold your beliefs genuinely and honestly.

I’ve prayed and fasted and read and prayed and fasted and read and prayed and fasted and read and I’m convinced, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Catholic Church is the one true church, founded on Peter and given the keys of heaven, and against which the gates of hell will not prevail.

I’ve looked very carefully into the criticisms of the Church and there is no question they are vaild - but the church is a body of people, and people are not perfect.

Much has been addressed, and there is just no question what so ever that some simply refuse to believe the truth that is there before their very eyes. I was intrigued to find out from what Ive read that much of the original vitriol and lies about the Catholic Church propigated by Boettner is simply regurgitated by many anti catholics without them really looking at the issues for themselves. For example, I took some of the total outrageous lies he made and then checked on some of the more fundamentalist websites, and guess what, in 2008 the same lies and half truths and downright misrepresentation is there on these sites, word for word.
They couldnt even be bothered to get their own objections - they just copied his

I dont mean by that that those kind enough to respond to me have not seriously considered their own objections and formed their own conclusions. Im referring to the sites and books that promote their own faith but simply cannot pass the chance to run the Catholic Church into the ground.

When you look at the opportunities the church had to simply fall to pieces and go the way of the varoius sects from internal and external pressure - that never happened - and you gotta ask why. The Holy Spirit. That’s why.

God has kept his promise to the early fathers.

I will soon move onto the next stage in my journey into faith by joining an RCIA program.

I feel so completely content with that decision. It is the right one for me. I couldnt have got to this point so quickly without satisfying myself mentally I was doing the right thing. Thanks to you all here - because I dont know anyone in real life with a faith - I have.
