What’s the point of praying for something over and over again?

Sometimes it takes persistent prayer — see St Monica, mother of St Augustine. And sometimes it takes the act of faith in praying once and having confidence thereafter. Perhaps in both cases it comes down to faith and trust. But even the Gospel shows it’s not unlike God to leave our first call apparently unheard and to make us ask again.

Apart from that, I also discovered:
  1. He knows what I want before I pray for it and so I was surprised that I got it before I started praying. Lol!
  2. Prayers wont be granted instantly. The fastest is 5 mins. But this is from my experience you see.
  3. Prayers that conforms to His will will be granted.
  4. If it is within your own effort to get something this type of prayers will be ignored by God.

I say certain prayers virtually every day. It is my regular prayer regimen.

I don’t feel right unless I do my regular prayers. On some days I do other prayers depending on the circumstance, but I have certain ones that I say pretty much every day.
