My father, whom I really miss as do his two grandsons. My two children whom I have yet to meet who were lost to miscarriage.

If I could, I would invite 3 people who are, each one of them, being able to invite 3 more people who are also be able to invite 3 others who are…so on and so on. 🙂

My Mom, my sister (both died :(), and Mary. I would like to hear more of her story and what it was like to raise Jesus.

**What 3 Guests (Dead or Alive) Would You Invite To Your Thanksgiving Table Dinner? It can be anyone but Jesus. **

Drew Mariani posed this question on his radio program yesterday on Relevant Radio and their were some very interesting answers.

Who would you invite? Why? What topics would you discuss with your guests at the Thanksgiving table dinner?
  1. My Patron Saint, Francis of Assissi. Need to learn some tips on taking better care of animals. And if he could pass on his gift of talking to animals, well now…
  2. St. Louis De Montfort. Why not ask questions about the Rosary from the expert?
  3. St. Phiolmena, Powerful With God. I wear her cord, and I want to ask her how to grow in faith and hope and love
Actually, I would have to invite them to the local Alano Club, where we have a Thanksgiving Dinner, free, for all who want it. I donate $40 or more annually for this worthy cause. And imagine the stares when those three religious figures walked into the room with me!

I think I should invite 3 people who have no place else to go, or who can not afford a dinner otherwise. That way, I know that I’ll be “serving” the Lord, also!🙂

Jimmy Hendrix - we can jam a little
John the 23rd - I want to get his take on Vatican II
Nancy Pelosi - I’d want to talk about the direction of the country, if she is elected Speaker of the House.

Interesting but Nancy Pelosi and Jimmy Hendrix would be on the bottom of my list.

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, St. Therese of Lisieux, and St. Teresa of Avila. We’d just talk about God, life, and serving Christ.

Um…my paternal grandpa, so I can get the full scoop on that Titanic thing; a former boyfriend, just to hang out again; and Rich Mullins.

I think they would get along together well, too.

My granny, because I would love to introduce my son to her.

The child we lost to a tubal pregnancy.

A nun, I never knew here name, but, she was the first nun I ever spoke to (I was 10 years old and in a hospital) and she showed me that Catholics were Christians too. She planted a seed that led to my conversion.
Very interesting.
My first child was stillborn. Luke. We set a place for him every night. So I won’t include him in the “guest” list.

I would invite Osama bin Laden. But he probably would not come. But if he rsvp’s affirmatively, I would invite Fr. Tom and Fr. Charlie from the carmelites. And we would all have a rip roaring good time.

If that did not work out I would invite George Bush and the Carmelites. And if that did not work out I think I would invite John Kerry and the two carmelites.

But usually we just go to the nearest homeless shelter (our parish) and serve the free meal. And that is what we will probably do this year as well.

I would invite Jesus, Elvis and Bill Clinton. What a conversation that would be!

Wow! The obvious choices; Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the saints, etc, and deceased relatives, I will leave alone for this response.

I think my choices, then, would be Aleksandr Solzhenitzyn, Dante and Flannery O’Connor.

I’d have to pick four!😉

Adam: What was being human like before sin? What kind of changes did sin create to our planet also?

Moses: What was it like on the Mountain with God?

St. Paul: What did God show you that you were not permitted to speak about?

St. John the Apostle: Tell me everything about being with Jesus. Tell me more about what you saw in heaven.

If I had to drop one, I guess Moses would get the ax.😦

John Madden, to teach me everything I don’t understand about football, but wish I knew.

David Letterman, for laughs at dinner.

Some really holy priest with a great sense of humor - any nominations?

Betsy

George W. Bush and Laura - just so I could let him know that he does have support from some Americans.

Fr. Corapi - he could help me get all my fallen away Catholic family members back to the Faith, I’m not doing a good job by myself

Dr. Ray - he could also help my family in their reconversion and provide comic relief
