What a terrible week I am having. And it is only Wednesday.

So my friend passed away on Monday.

Yesterday morning, I get a desperate call from my cleaning lady, who comes only once every two weeks. My water heater started leaking while she was there and water was going all over my family room! She threw the breakers on my furnace and asked me how to shut off the water. We got the water shut off, I raced home and started draiing the water heater, which is still under warranty. Using a shop vac, I have vacuumed up as much water as I could, but it looks like I will need to replace the carpet or I risk getting mold. This morning, my HVAC company will inspect my furnace and I will replace my water heater this afternoon. What a mess! 😦

Then this morning, my vet calls and tells me that my kitty, Silver, has hyper-thyroid again and that he needs to have his other thyroid gland removed. Last year, he had his first thyroid removed and now he needs surgery again to remove the other one. His weight has dropped to just 8 pounds from 12.5. :crying:

Dear Lord, I merely ask for a boring life.

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, I will remember them in my prayers tonight. There is a saying my Mum used to use when things went wrong, it is ‘it never rains but it pours’ and I think in view of the things that have happened to you so far this week that saying is apt.

May perpetual light shine upon your friend and may he rest in peace.

The other things will get fixed, they are just anoyances now. I will pray for you.

Some days, are just not so great. 😦 I’m sorry…may God give you strength to get through these trials, and may your kitty be ok! Prayers for you…

It must be in the air…I knew it was arough week by 3 pm Tuesday…But for very different reasons. My prayers are with you, rpp, May our Mother and our Brother shine their grace apon you. Peace!

:signofcross: I’m praying for you. Sorry to hear you had such a bad week 😦

My prayers are with you. Sometimes you are the windshield, sometimes you are the bug!
God be with you.

I like your prayer request for a boring life. Those of us with relatively boring lives should appreciate what we have.

I’m sorry about your friend’s death. And for your pet.

As for the water heater–how extremely fortunate that this happened while your cleaning lady was there! I’ve heard of such things breaking while people are away on vacation, and the damage can be a lot more severe than just needing to replace carpet.

Prayers for you during this tough time of your life.:gopray: When boredom arrives, it won’t seem as bad now.

I am sorry that you have large curve balls this week. May God straighten them out soon and make life less stressful, less complicated for you and more peaceful.
AMEN.

I am so sorry to hear about your week. I have had a terrible 2 weeks, everything from losing pets, illness, loss of work, getting threatened by land lord to leave the house, getting electricity cut off and unable to get it back on, oh yeah I hear you hon but through it all remember GOD loves you and I pray that He gives you the strength you need to make it through these tough times. GOD bless, take care and hang in there!

I’m sorry about your difficult week. On the upside, it will make you appreciate the “boring” weeks all the more!

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us!

Not to make light of your circumstance, but to put things in perspective;

many people have **no **friends to mourn.
many people have no cleaning persons or servants.
many people can only dream of owning a home with a furnace and water heater.
many people would love to have a pet, but cannot.

In all these things, you seem to be most fortunate.

Surgery today. Back hom. All went well. I keep this post short as I am ubder the infuence of pain drugs and anestesia so I am a bit loopy. Those who have been praying for me, thaknyou. Just want to let those who know me I am fine. I mihgt post omorrow.

Take care an d God bless you for prying for me.

I pray for your quick recovery! I know how painful those first few days can be I pray that the Lord gives you peace and patience and the full realization that HE will get you throughall of this week.

I woke this morning and other than some minor surgical pain, my pain is gone. Thank you for the kind words and prayers for what appears to be a completely successful procedure.

Also, I am sorry for yesterday’s post. So many typos! I can only say that the drugs must have made me mo loopy that I realized.

Dear Lord, I merely ask for a boring life.
“rpp” Oh, you poor soul! :console: I’m really sorry. 😦 These are the things that “test” our faith, truly. But believe me… you’re not alone. Our good Lord knows all of our sorrows.

I’m officially, unemployed. I work as sole caregiver for my sweet mother. So, I have no income of my own. Two weeks ago… we got a notice from our lovely Tax Assessor… telling us that we owe $2,400.00 in back taxes (an oversight on their part)… and that our annual property taxes will be raised by $800.00… starting in August. That nearly sent me into coronary failure. ❤️

To top it off… my poor mother has had two weeks of difficulties with Irritable Bowel Syndrome… and all the lovely things that go with it. Anyone of you who suffer from IBS know what I’m referring to.

Then, smack in the middle of a major heat wave… the AC in our car goes FLOOEY. DEAD. An estimate of the “repair” is about $1,400.00. And the heat wave is expected to go through the end of July. This means, that since I must take my mother with me every where I go… that we have to get up early, early in the morning… and get our errands done before the major heat of the day sets in.

Believe me… I know what you’re feeling right now. So… if you will keep us in your prayers, I promise to keep you in mine. Thanks hon. Hope things get MUCH better for you.

God bless.

Glad to hear you made it through surgery and are on the mend!
