If a nun has taken a vow of poverty and receives an inheratance is she able to put those assets in a Trust that is not in her name and be the beneficary or does she have to turn it over to the church?
Where would be the poverty if she still had control of it? If she has made final vows, then she doesn’t own anything and the Lord is her only treasure. Any monies that would come to her belong to the community.
