What about Harry Potter?

What does the Church think about the wildly popular Harry Potter books? I shun them and don’t allow my kids to read them, as they glorify the occult and promote witchcraft.My mother thinks the author made a deal with the devil(make the dark side look attractive and lure children into the occult arts thru the novels) and sold her soul in exchange for the fame and fortune the novels generated. What does the Church think? Would the books be in the Catholic school libraries, for instance?
