OK. So I don’t have to meditate. Well I can just write down the events and announce them. Then say the hail Mary 10 times. I would have to say the Apostle’s creed before leaving home. I could go tomorrow morning and get breakfast saying some and after leaving breakfast say the rest of the rosary. OK.
For the Rosary, start at home, say the creed. There is one Our Father and Three Hail Marys, and a Glory Be. You could do those first. Then Walk out the door.
Remember it is an Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, 1 Glory Be. As one set. Repeat that set another 4 times.
When you get back home, say the Jesus Prayer, and the Hail Holy Queen Mother of Mercy.
If you want, why not just think about one event, with each set. It doesn’t have to be the set events, in case you lose your paper.
The purpose of the Rosary is to think about the life of the Holy Family, Mary and Jesus.
For example, we know Christmas, we know Easter - crucifixion , we know the resurrection,
Maybe add a miracle you know Jesus did, and we know Mary is in Heaven.
Just think of 5 things that come to mind. It’s ok to set up a habit of Rosary and walking and thinking about what events you know.
I usually walk first thing and say the Rosary. Sometimes I think of God in things I see, if I see sheep,- Jesus as a Shepherd. Mary walking with Jesus. Stuff like that.
I get distracted - kangaroos jumping all over the place and making the dogs go nuts, neighbours saying hi. It’s all good.
You are bound to have distractions and interruptions.
Let your thoughts just flow or just concentrate on what the words mean
Hail Mary full of grace- it’s what the Angel Gabriel greeted Mary with.
Holy Mary mother of God - Jesus born at Christmas.
In the Our Father:
Give us this day our daily bread - think of the miracle of loaves and fishes
Or Holy Communion and the Last Supper.
Forgive us our trespasses- Jesus said repent and be saved-
That’s 5 things to think about while praying the Rosary, and the words in the Prayers will prompt your memory
Good luck,
