I am cradle Catholic, but had no religious upbringing. In Ireland we have to be Baptised to go to school. I never had any interest in learning about my Religion until 1 year ago, when i came to Church 1st time since confirmation. I am 35, and lived my 20,s I never gave a taught to sin, or even knew about mortal/venial sin. When i came back to church last year i gave an honest confession and am truly ashamed of the mistakes i made. I explained i could never remember everything but told him all i could remember. I now go confession first saturdays and sometimes i remember stuff i did when younger and go back in with it. Do i keep going back in anytime i remember something bad i did, even though i did not know i was commiting sins at the time.
Thank you
Bobby

Catechism (emphasis added):
1493 One who desires to obtain reconciliation with God and with the Church, must confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave sins he remembers after having carefully examined his conscience. The confession of venial faults, without being necessary in itself, is nevertheless strongly recommended by the Church.
You only need to confess a recently remembered forgotten sin if it was a grave/mortal sin. Now, please, don’t worry yourself into the ground trying to constantly think of anything you previously forgot. You have made an honest and sincere effort to confess your sins and God has forgiven you. But in the case where you at some point remember a grave/mortal sin that was forgotten you can simply mention it at your next reasonable opportunity for confession.
