What about statue locations in church?

Is it appropriate to place statues of Mary & Joseph at the front of the church; either to the left or the right of the sanctuary?
 
Hi,

Of course! is is appropriate. It’s been done for centuries. There are statues all over St. Peter’s in Rome. Who would think that our Lord would be offended by the presence of such images when the persons they represent are so beloved to Him?
