If Judas, who hung himself, was harshly dealt with by the Lord, what about the many in the crowd who shouted for Jesus’s death? How many were there? What were they like? Where did they go? this person asks.
Luke 23:2 gives the claims against Jesus:
  • perverting our nation,
  • forbidding the payment of taxes to Caesar,
  • saying that he is Christ the king.
So, three times Pilate said Jesus was not guilty. The Jews said Jesus must die, also, because he claimed to be the Son of God.

Perhaps there is a case of invincible ignorance for them, but Judas was an apostle so he knew well the teachings on sin. Of Judas, Jesus Christ said (Matthew 26):
24 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed: it were better for him, if that man had not been born.
At the Crucifixction Jesus said (Luke 23):
34 And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
And in Matthew 23, to the Pharisees, Jesus said:
33 You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell?
Anyone that is not just at death will experience hell. After the Crucifixion, Jesus descended to Hades and the just were freed.
