The Rosary is my most frequently used devotional. I’ve prayed it every day for nearly two years, and I credit it for my strong faith. I have some pretty profound spiritual thoughts while meditating on the mysteries.

I also tried the Divine Mercy chaplet, but since I’m usually busy around 3 PM (when it’s recommended to pray it), I haven’t been able to pray it in several months. I really enjoy it and feel that it helped me out, so I’m disappointed I haven’t been able to get to it.

Yes the rosery is like reaffirmed declaration. And spiritual touching God’s love

I'm one of the folks that is spiritual but not religious that is so looked down upon by many religious and perfectly okay with it. In that vein I try to be as mindful as possible and try to spend more time being and less time doing.

Attending silent Adoration & silent retreats helps my spiritual growth & development.

Lectio Divina & Adoration are at the top of the list.
Singing at funerals when I don’t feel like it and doing chores for a friend when I don’t feel like it are also important.

For a person whose attention span is not very good, Rosary prayer may not be suitable. Your mind would start to wander by the third decade or sometimes you woke up and found that your fingers were on the third decade, you’d know where you stopped at.

Contemplative prayer therefore can be an alternative. It is going before God, before the Blessed Sacrament would be good or it could be just in the privacy of your bedroom or prayer room if you have one at home, and talk to God. You can use Bible verses or certain passages, the daily readings would come in handy, and go from there - what strike you and what God through the verses, speaks to you, ala Lectio Divina style.

Great. Actually I do pretty much all of that too… though I serve the church in a different ways. I feel blessed to be able to as not everyone is.

Well I looked up this definition.
I guess this is similar to the “desire” for …
Like baptism. Or the Eucharist.
Or anything .spiritual.
Yes the pretend reality is a reality. Hmmm

Going to adoration in the morning before work, reading, spending time in nature appreciating creation, raising children, and working as a youth minister.

I have always find consolation in meditating with the Rosary. I got very upset when a heard something mentioned in a priest’s homily that went something like: “Praying four Rosaries everyday will NOT grant you salvation”. But, I guess he is right; it can become a bit obsessive…[but if shouldn’t!]

However, it is important to find something that help you “switch-off”…
I used to type my journal entries and email them to myself, if only I could still access them!
