Depends. What do you believe about God? What do you believe about Jesus?

You say you do not believe in the Bible, but since the Bible demonstrably exist I assume you mean you don’t believe what the Bible says. But since the Bible talks about both God and Jesus, you believe at least two things that are in the Bible. Are those the only two things - i.e. that there is a divine entity that created the world (which most people believe), and that there was a human being in first century Palestine that we call Jesus (whom most historians believe existed, and some non-Christian religions hold in esteem as well)? Or are there other things that you believe from the Bible, just not the entirety of it? Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Or that He Himself is God? Or that He’s just a man? How about the Holy Ghost?

More information needed, so for now I will call you MountainGoat like Lenten_ashes said 😃

Depends. Do you believe in the Divinity of Christ (and the Trinity) or just that he was a cool 1st century guy?

If you “don’t believe in the Bible,” but the Bible is our only source of knowledge about Jesus, what do you believe about Him?

**Well, we have the Holy Shroud of Turin which represents both Jesus and miraculous power. Maybe Mr. goat believes in that. **

Still, without the Bible, we’d have no knowledge of Him to compare the Shroud to!

Well I mean you could reject, or not believe, the bible as an inspired word of God and still have a historical Jesus with which to contend with? I mean I’ve heard that take on it from people before, that the reject the bible as having any Godly hand in it, and yet it still exists as a chronicle of the man, or God as man, Jesus.

Not my own view on it mind you, but one I’ve heard.

If you believe in Jesus and are trying to live according to his teachings as you understand them, then you could call yourself a disciple of Jesus Christ. Catholics usually reserve the name Christian to those who have been baptized in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. An unbaptized person in the first stage of formal instruction in the Christian faith is called an Inquirer.

I would consider you a Protestant, or simply a Christian.

Would you consider yourself an agnostic Christian?

Do you believe that Jesus existed and was God’s son, but not believe that the Bible is accurate?
